MALOUDA SET FOR VASCO

Chelsea midfielder Florent Malouda looks set to leave the club in the summer after it was revealed that Chelsea have opened talks with Brazilian club Vasco da Gama over the potential £ 3 million transfer fee.

The former Lyon winger has made it no secret that he would one day like to play in Brazil, which is the home country of his wife. The Lyon winger joined the club back in 2007 for a transfer fee of £ 13 million, but the 32-year-old has not featured for the first team heavily in the last one season.

MALOUDA A DOUBT

Chelsea midfielder Florent Malouda is a major doubt for the Champions League final after injuring his hamstring in the final Premier league match of the season against Blackburn Rovers.

The 31-year-old is viewed as the man to replace the suspended Ramires in the starting line-up. However, he has given manager Roberto di Matteo a major headache after picking up a hamstring injury prior to the whistle in the first half. He was then replaced by defender Paulo Ferreira. Roberto di Matteo has revealed that he is a major doubt for the final.

MALOUDA WANTS TO PLAY

Florent Malouda recently made an announcement where he clearly specified that it’s high time he is allowed to play for Chelsea as a winger instead of just being kept back on the bench for future purposes.

He has made it quite clear that he is extremely unhappy with the limited chances that are being given to him to perform. He has clearly mentioned that he is a player who constantly wants some action on the field and needs to run up and down the field to feel nice and contented.
