Abou Diaby is hopeful about his chances of getting selected in the France national team for the World Cup finals which are going to be played next year in Brazil.
Diaby has been on the sidelines since a long time. The last time that he had featured for his club Arsenal was in March this year. He discovered a ligament problem after that and was ruled out.
His recovery from that ligament problem hasn’t been as smooth as he would have liked it to be, but, finally, it’s on track now and he has already begun running. However, he is still quite a few weeks away from his comeback. If nothing goes wrong from here on, we would probably see him back to action at some point of time in February next year.

The world cup finals will start in June. So, if Diaby comes back in February, he would have enough time to impress the manager of the French team i.e. Didier Deschamps, though I Love Liverpool don’t make him a favourite to make it into the squad.
Diaby had been a part of the French team that had taken part in the last edition of the World Cup finals 4 years back.
Talking to the correspondent of a French newspaper a couple of days back, Diaby said, “It’s certainly a dream to represent my country in the World Cup once again. But, the priority for me at the moment is to get 100% fit and start playing for Arsenal. I think I would be able to do that in the last week of February or at the start of March.”
“I would not try to rush myself to anything. I am patient and I would come back only when I feel that my body is ready for that.”
Diaby has so far made 16 appearances for France.
