The manager of France national football team, Didier Deschamps, has hinted that his ex teammate Zinedine Zidane might replace him at his position in a couple of years’ time.
Zidane is presently a part of the Real Madrid support staff. He is working there as an assistant boss, but, in one of his interviews last week, he had expressed his desire of taking charge of a team in future and it seems that his desire would get fulfilled once Deschamps quits as France boss.
Deschamps had been appointed as the manager of the French team in 2012 and he has done well since that time.
His contract with the Les Blues would expire in 2016 and he probably would keep working at his post till then, but, there is no guarantee that he would sign a contract extension.

Deschamps and Zidane know each other quite well. They were close buddies during their playing days and both had played major parts to guide France to the World Cup glory in 1998.
Deschamps was the skipper of the side in that tournament, while, Zidane was the key member.
As far as the managerial careers of the two are concerned, Zidane is relatively new in this field. He has worked only in junior roles so far and is yet to make some strides. On the other hand, Deschamps has been managing teams since more than 10 years now. Before taking charge of France, he had already worked as manager at some big clubs.
Last week, when Deschamps was asked about Zidane’s willingness to become manager, he said, “That’s very much possible because I am not sure if I would continue once my contract is over.”
France has won 8 out of the 18 games managed by Deschamps.
